Gearbox 'jerk' on startup?

Hi,
I was hoping others might be able to share if they have also had this experience.
When I start my E60, often times, I notice a little jerk, as if the 'gearbox is engaging'.
Anyone?

Automatic - and this happens when starting on level ground.

Thanks for the reminder.
The tips on proper sequence of parking etc is a good reminder too.
A related question. If the car is parked on a dead level road, is there any harm in just using Park, and not engaging the handbrake? Just curious.

ironically i was having chronic jerking just before my required oil change... has not jerked since my oil change... plus 25 second tranny reset
