Highest octane avail at the pump......in my case, 93%, and I personally use only Chevron.
The owners manual says use 91% or higher, and to also use only high quality brands

I talked to a petroleum engineer that said the only difference between top tier gas and no top tier is the fact that the additives in top tier are brand name while non top tier is generic.

I dont know how much truth I find in this but its something to atleast think about

for the 4-5 cents difference per gallon between the 2....I'll stick with "top tier"

Ship the octane booster --- use premium branded gasoline from a station that looks like it cares for it's pumps and filters [cleanliness is a good thing]. I will occasionally - one/twice a year - use Chevron Techron fuel treatment.

99 in your neck of the woods is the same as 93 here. It's just measured differently.

well where I live the price difference can be anywhere from 20 to 40 cents. So to many people it may be worth it.
