Exclamation Gas pedal vibrating and gear not shifting after software update

Hello everyone,

So i had a problem with my car "jumping" when cold and accelerating from zero to one. So took it to dealer and after a PUMA was done they changed the battery and did a software update.

They promised it would fix the problem, it did, for a few weeks and it came back.

A workaround that i discovered for this after much research is simply letting your car warm up and then drive. It worked!

Now i wish i didn't do the software update because now when i accelerate from 60 km and up i press the gas pedal and nothing happens add to that i feel the gas pedal going up and down an inch or so a few times like its resetting or something and the car feels like its dying or its going to suddenly stop. Just like when you run out of gas and the car dies.very strange.

i let go and press again and all is fine. Every time.

Sorry for the long read.

Any help appreciated. i am out of warranty!

Thank you

edit : 530i, 102k km, 2009 model.

As I understand, you are saying that the dealer changed the battery and updated the software. Not only that didn't fix the issue but introduced new issue.

Why don't you take the car back to the dealer that performed the service and insist on fixing the issue?
