Had a 60 mile road trip from home to West Palm Beach this morning. I reset all my mileage readings as soon as I jumped on the highway. Averaged 75-80 mph the entire trip with a couple bursts up to 110 mph when I had plenty of open road. My average MPG was 24.7 and made it up to 25.2 once. My car is an 06 550i with several mods. Just seemed a little high and I was expecting 21-23 at most.

Doesn't seem odd to me. I drive highway most of the time, mixed driving I average 22.8mpg. On longer trips (to San Francisco from San Diego), I'll average 25.2mpg traveling a roughly the same speeds as you just described.

Cool. Just I recall the sales slip on the window indicating 23-16 Hwy-City. Trust me, I'm not complaining.

Cool, I guess if I stayed around 55-65 mph I could get that.

Well, It dropped down to 23.1 mpg on the way back home. Spirited driving Also, what's with the Toyota Corolla drivers? They really think they're driving a sports car; especially when they have those upgraded body kits.

I thought the X35 turbo engines were pretty good on gas??? I know once I mix in city driving in my mileage will drop to 16-17 mpg.

Body kits and fart can exhausts add like..... 500hp on top of what they already had. It's common knowledge don't you know....
