The green band is an extra (not to expensive btw) over here.. I chose the car without the green band.. I find it looking a bit cheap like a 20 year old mercedes 190E.. So ? would have sent them back too.

I wish BMWNA would bring the 530d or 535d to the US! Maybe in 2007?

There was an article in last week's AutoWeek touting the 530d. They really made a US case for it. We'll probably have hydrogen first, though. <_<

I know the gtimer is inaccurate, after reading loads of tests and a review or two, I went for the G-Tech as it came out the best, While I know its not as accurate as a drag strip and $100k worth of timing computer, its pretty close and a lot of fun!

BTW, no need to swear!

There you go, pepsibluebmw. I cleaned it up for you. Same message, but not as offensive.

Nice driving! What tranny? That's the best actual track time I've heard for a 545. What was your trap speed? Can you post the slip?

Not sure about the others, but the G-Timer has some setup that is required (for drag coefiffient, type of drivetrain, roll resistance, RWD FWD or AWD, etc.) You can also enter vehicle weight.

Proper calibration is also very important.

Haven't had mine to the track to verify.

Hi DD. Any more figures for us....
Was kind of looking forward to mid range 530D accel figures.
My friend took me out in his new 350 V6 SLK this week with the new Merc 7G tronic box and to be honest after the first impressive punch off the line.. it didn,t feel as fast to accelerate as my 530D'!!!
