My wife chuckled at this story.

All she has learned is how to set the radio station using the steering wheel commands. She gets around just fine without using navigation.

Great story. Thanks for sharing.
great story! The sad part is My wife drives an X5 with the same idrive system and she never changes the station, always waits for me to hang up the phone so she doesn't have to hit the phone button on her steering wheel and to this day, she has not used the GPS because she does not know how to input the address so she calls me for directions.... She hates the voice command because she never waits for the beep and always get "I'm sorry i did not understand that", and finally she once complained the GPS map was impossible to read because it does not show details. I turned the knob and brought the scale from 500 Miles/per unit to 400ft/unit.... She is getting better though. She did pair her new phone herself a couple months ago.

Wow!
Your wife is really good! At least she tries. Mine goes bananas with all buttons and then she hopes that she at least got one thing right...

My wife doesn't drive but she did quickly figure out, with a little coaching from me, how to work the I-Drive's radio features. It's the only thing she cares about in the car.
