Fuel Injector cleaning for Trasmission stutter not covered by Warranty

I left my 05 545i in BMW dealership for transmission stuttering/jerk before a complete stop or in Reverse.
They think the fuel injector needs to be cleaned to fix it and they want to charge $275 for this even though my car is under warranty.
Does this make sense? I also doubt if this will fix the ever-lasting tranmission issue.
Please help...Thank you.

Wow that is a lot. I just got the fuel system/injector cleaning at the dealer and was 129. It was worth it, the tech went over what they did and it is good for longevity of the engine in general so a good idea to get done every 20k miles or so anyway. This actually did make the engine run much smoother and got rid of random knocks and sounds I had. I would go for it.

I'd head to a good indy shop and have them do a fuel injector cleaning and swap spark plugs. Chances are you can get both done for less the $200.
I mention once to a mechanic friend about fuel injector cleaning and his response was it is quite rare to see any build up on cars that run premium. Basically any gas company's premium fuel is usually loaded with cleaners/chemicals to prevent it. Chances are you'd have a bad fuel injector before you had excessive build up in one.
Have you ever just ran a good fuel system cleaner through a tank of gas or two in a row?

Unless you've been using crappy gasoline for 100K + miles I think the dealership is trying to charge you for an unnecessary service instead of troubleshooting the cause of the transmission problem.
