My Ride: 2004 545
Model Year: 2004
So, just got back from the dealer regarding steering malf warning alert. Turned out to be just low steering fluid.
But, they advised me that I was due for a fuel injection and brake fluid flush?
I, of course, told them "no thanks".
I have a 2004 545 with only 29k miles and didn't think either was necessary.
What's your guys' take?

um, first of all, I have an 08 with more miles 
second of all, "no thanks"? I think "fuck-off" would have been more appropriate. They were basically trying to reach right into your pocket and snatch your wallet. Good call on turning it down.

Yeah, but he has relatively low mileage. Maybe I am wrong. I have 36K on the clock and had my injectors REPLACED a month ago. then again, my car is a piece of crap.

what exactly is a "fuel injector flush"? sounds like something a bottle or two of techron would fix pretty easily.

Thanks guys! I likely will go ahead and get SS brake lines then 
(which requires a flush) - as it looks like a brake fluid flush is in my near future.
I fill my girl with techron only - so my injectors should be clean as a whistle

Injector cleaning can only be done ultrasonically and flow tested afterwards for the best effect. Most of these dealer injection services is snake oil.
If you have dirty injectors below 100k miles then there is something wrong with the injectors or you have let the car sit for an extended period of time whereby the injectors accumulated varnish.
Some of the fuel injector cleaners these days have less of the active ingredients except for one which is the Redline product.
