Im still in my run in period (but taking no notice of the rules...) and am showing 32.9 mpg. I'm very impressed - I drive like a nutter. Sport mode / pedal to the metal, 95% of the time

This summer I managed to drive 960 km without filling up. The car was fully loaded and we even had a roof box. It was mostly country roads and not highway.

My car usually stays within 6.3-6.7 liters per 100 km according to the computer. Depending on driving style of course. It's almost impossible to push it above 7.0 liters.

My 520d consumption stabilized on the final level of 6,5 L/100km on daily city-Stop'n'Go + fast motorway driving, which I find quite good (given price 0,92 EUR/L in Luxembourg...), however on few longer trips (3000-4000km) without too much effort I managed to go down to the unbelievable 5,6-5,7 l/100km, which nobody wants to believe

As a proof see a photo below taken just after a long vacation trip (via DE, BE, NL, PL and back), averaging 5,66 L/100km and achieving 1230km on one tank!

unbelievable driving machine....
