How long do you wait. Mine took at least 5-10 min of driving to intialize.

Emphasis on driving -- the FTM will never initialize if you aren't driving around...

I metered it twice in the last month (I may have a slow leak in a tyre). It seems to take about 20km / 12 miles to decide it's had enough info. Quite how long that takes, it's up to you and the local enforcement agencies

I would think so but "Status Active" never comes up.My main concern is that if FTM isn't working properly I will not know if I have a flat with the RFT's.
cheers

OK - try the following - which maybe you already have.

1. Check/adjust pressure on tyres.
2. Re-set FTM (it should let you do it even if it still says "Initializing")
3. Drive continuously (ideally on a suburban road with little traffic) for at least 15 miles. I think the reset is driven by distance driven, rather than time.

If this does not get FTM status to "active", I'd call in on a dealer, as it's probably some sensor not sending the right signals!

Also, the engine must be running but the car must be stationary.
