I am taking it to CA chrome wheel which is my neck of the woods. Here are my next steps to deal with this...

- make sure I have the right hub ring. i'm going to see the fit on the hub and then the whee's bore.
- if the hub ring is wrong, then i'll order them from justforwheels.com and have it shipped this week.
- i'm going to take it to CA chrome wheel which does road force balancing.
- get an alignment at west end.

If all these things fail, then I mount my OEM back on and burn them rep wheels.

One step at a time....
Ok, I did all of these and the whiggle above 45 mph persists. 3 different locations balanced it and 1 road force balance and alignment and different sets of hub rings. The problem won't go away.

THESE WHEELS ARE GOING BACK ON MONDAY when I come back from my weekend get away. I am not going to think about this crappy wheels all weekend. Come Monday, adios!

Anyone selling OEM M5/M6 rims? I'll have some dough come Monday

cheers

Interesting...

I've read so many different things about aftermarket wheels that I'm close to just ordering OEM M5 wheels and powdercoating them matte black.
OH MAN DO IT! Member DRANGED just sold this this setup to a lucky person on the forum. This is by far my favorite setup, without question.

To the OP: I hope your issue is resolved quickly man. Maybe it is the tires??

They said there was a little bounce with the tires and they rotated it 180 degrees but that didn't help. I can ask to have the tires replace on Monday but I am doubtful. I love the look but I can't live with this. I demand performance and my OEM 246 18's were marvelous from a performance standpoint. This has all poser look only.

sigh

Guys i have read this with great interest and as far as i can see you are not getting correctly fitted tyres, i know OEM wheels are better but only by strength as they use the same molds, you really need to seek a competent fitter to satisfy your needs, lets face it they guys that are fitting them are prob just out of school and havent got a clue!!!

A bent rim could be the culprit, but these seem to be new wheels.
I am betting on a defective set of wheels with an imbalanced hole cut in the center.
The Hunter Machine can sense a bad tire, and the machine will recommend adjustments.
You also have to look out for people who have Hunter machines, but have never calibrated the machine because they do not know how.
I bought some replicas in the past, and we could never figure it out.
I also have had OEMs with a bent rim, but these are obvious issues that you can find merely by inspecting the wheel.
The BMW dealer is probably the most qualified to deal with the Hunter machine, but they wont deal with replicas. I drive about 30 miles aways to a place that only deals with high end cars. They know the Hunter machine.

Have you run the wheels without tires on them on the Hunter machine???

When you try everything, and your problem is not solved, you need to get rid of the wheels.
I sold my replicas to someone with full disclosure (for near nothing) and moved on.

Best regards,

I still bet its the tires. I am having the exact same issue!! I am about to replace them even though they have 80% tread left.

I know this question is not for me. But I expect to get some form of refund on Monday unless they are able to fix the problem right there and then. Monday is d-Day. Even if these guys ask me to pay restock I'll do it just to dump it. Thank goodness I still have my 246's with me so I will have to put them babies back on. I need to find a good OEM 19's for my car in a few weeks.

Appreciate if you could forward any links my way of people selling their M5/M6 wheels. Thanks.
