Every one should expect uneven wear with your BMWs. Every BMW I have had does this. The way the Alignment is done on these cars are set up to handle as best as possible. its the same with sports cars. My friends 350Z tires wear down faster on the inside shoulder part due to having more negative camber. If you complain about BMWs not wearing down tires evenly then you shouldn't own one. Go get a buick or camry.

I'll see if I can get some F1s. If not, then I need to see if fitting PS2s on the front is OK or not. I don't want to buy new rims, so are the 135s OK for non-RF tyres?

The 135's are fine for non-RFs!

Today I changed the RFT Bridgestone RE50 for NO RFT Michelin PS2 (245/40YR18).
I really enjoy them : less noisy, more confortable. I have a very good sensation in the steering wheel : smooth but very accurate. The profile looks beautifull.
I discovered with horror that the rear right rim inside was bent on 5cm ...
RUNFLAT tyres don't play their role of fuse between the road and the rim. The slightest pothole may damage your rims !
That can also be the cause of a bad tyre wear.
After 25000 km : the rear tyres were almost at the wear limit, but I could have run another 25000 km with the front tyres.
The only problem is that these 18 inches tyres are pretty expensive ! I payed 1.045 ? for the 4 tyres all included. Glub !

Apparently the Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT (runflat) tyres are yet available in 245/40/R18. Anyone know for usre if they are available or not? I believe they're being made in the US, so maybe they will be available in the UK very soon

I am currently fighting with BMW on this uneven wear as they know its a problem and blame us for not checking our tyres.

RFT:s are harder than standard, but far away from stone...
