The front fender reflectors on MY-08s

My Ride: 2010 M5 alpine white, black full leather, etc.

Wonder why BMW did not use the M5 style yellow bumper light/reflector on the updated sports models. It is certainly far more attractive than sticking a reflector into the front fenders.
Curious choice of design.

IS THAT The orange plastic on the front bumber, near the arch?

That i notice on new 2007 models onwards?

Yes, but the change only begins on the US models in 08. I don't know about vehicles produced for use over the pond.

It is only required in NA.

Amber front reflectors are not required in Europe.

Huh?

This? Just as ugly... I would rather have the M-Tech one and paint it. I think the M5s Buldge out where as the 550 sport is flush

Is there a way to remove them or is the reflector recessed into the fender?

They're recessed.
