Front Control Arm (struts) bush - Help
Hi Guys, I need some help with the front control arm bush. In October laster year, I got the front control arm bushes replaced. Bought the OEM parts from ebay (guys called Duetchparts) and had them replaced at a local Indy. Everything was good, and then in December due to an accident the steering rack had to be replaced, which was done by the local Dealer. Yesterday, I was doing the normal service on the car and changing the belts when I noticed the front left control arm bush had something hanging out of it. On closer look, the bush has a plastic cap on left and right side, and one of the plastic caps has poped out and is just hanging there. I am not sure if this is a big problem, a small problem or no problem at all. Is anyone here is good with suspension or control arm mechanism and can look the picture and share the knowledge as in what is going on and what needs to be done?
Background on the reason for bush change - When the tires were replaced, the front ones would wear off from inside faster and the tire guys diagnosed it as front struts replacement. This was further discovered by an Indy, the front control arm bush (left) was cracked. So the front control arm bushes (right and left) were replaced.
Thanks for reading and sharing your suggestion.
