If you're persistent, your insurance company should issue YOU a check rather than just work solely with the body shop themselves. If you're looking for a m-tech bumper or other aftermarket parts then try to buddy up with the body shop guys and have them use the insurance money for those parts that'll probably be less expensive than the factory pieces anyway. When I did about $6000 worth of damage to my motorcycle I walked into the body shop with a list of about 20 items that I wanted rather than the factory parts. I basically got a race bike out of the deal.

Good luck either route you go, but if you want the front end back to normal then I'd strongly suggest using your insurance. That's what it's there for afterall.

Hood is made of alu, that cannot be repaired but replaced. The front seems only to have scratches and that needs to be fully repainted 600$ or sg.

I have finally stopped by my dealer and got an estimate. A total of $5700 worth of damage: hood has to be replaced, along with both xenons, as the mounting tabs have broken off. So about $3300 in parts and the rest is labor. I definitely want to get the european headlights, but I as suspected my dealer cannot get them. Any suggestion as to where can I order them from? Would the '08's fit?

As long as there is no frame damage, accidents are a blessing in disguise. Always a great opportunity to modify the cosmetics on your insurance's tab.

OUch... if you were in CA you can buy my Silver Gray OEM bumper for cheap! Its basically brand new with a clear bra on it. I took it off the car at 2000miles.
