Took my car in for squeaky brakes, idrive showed fronts still had 10k until replacement. Dealer replaced front pads and rotors under warranty. Sweet. That's $800 I saved.

I was just about to pull the trigger on the 2 year extended maintenance contract for $1695 but now I'm not so sure since without having to pay for front brakes it may not make sense. $300 for two more oil changes, maybe $700 for rear brakes might not even need that within 2 years as idrive says they have 20k left. Any opinions on this? I've only got 10 days left to buy the extended maintenance as my inservice 4 year mark is coming up June 30.

I think it is so unreasonable ,and the the service seems so bad, i will never buy service from that company. But there is really something wrong with your car, but i don't know what it is, maybe i can help you to consultative experts, they would help, and i will contact you then.

Lately, I've been leaning towards extended maintenance not being worth the money - you can get upgraded replacement parts installed for the same money over the two years that it'll cover. As for an ext. warranty - jury's still out on that one for me.

I already have the extended warranty, just wondering about the extended maintenance now that the single most expensive service item likely to come up during the next two years, front brakes, is done.

Here is what you want to think about. You have a 05 and with the extended maintenance you will have until 2011 until it expires. You were able to get 42k in the first 4 or so years which would lead me to believe that you would get another 4 years out of the second set. That would mean that you would need new breaks in 2013. You really only want to get the extended maintenance when you know that you will be able to take advantage of the extended maintenance.

Same here with the extended warranty. I didn't get the extended maintenance because I love working on my car. I'm not a licensed mechanic but I can do
preventive maintenance like oil/filter change, brake jobs, spark plugs and some minor electrical work. So for me, it would be a waste of money. Plus it helps me stay active(I just retired from the Navy).
