Default front brake pads - OEM or Aftermarket???

On my 05 545i, the front brakes started to squeal and make that metal worn out noise tonight. So would you guys recommend going with oem pads or an aftermarket set?

Guys that have changed out their brakes too aftermarket, please let me know what are your experiences. Thanks

Definately go with aftermarket. The dust from OEM is too much to deal with. I went with something from ebay, can't remember the name. They sqeak a bit but only for a few seconds at cold starts in the mornings they are fine for the rest of the day. It may be my fault because I changed them myself and it was my first time doing brakes.

if you want the best grip, go oem.

From my experience with both oem and aftermarket. the oem will brake better and aftermarket will produce less dust. I ended up sticking with aftermarket to keep the wheels cleaner and I've been able to successfully stop for squirrels, turtles and old ladies with out problems.

the aftermarket ones we carry typically will have about the same bite as OEM, and yes less dust which is very popular. we also carry ones that have better bite as well and are semi-track pads if interested.

I installed these, Redstuff Brake Pads Index, a few weeks ago. They work fine, less dusty than OEM, but a bit dustier than I was hoping. I also replaced the rotors with Zimmerman.

When i replace my pads i was going to get red stuff. I thought you get very little dust? Is it less than OEM?
