I guess u find new features and things on ur car when ur stuck in traffic or when ur really bored while driving.
Locate your signal switch
if you press and hold the "check" button, it will check ur system. It will say All Systems OK if evrything is ok.
This one is my favorite. You know how u like to reset the mph, and mpg after every fuel up? I used to go to the idrive menu then car data then clikc reset etc. Now, i found out u can reset it in couple seconds!
Toggle to mpg by pressing BC. Press and hold BC and it will reset whichever you toggled to.

I just discovered that you can manually set the wipers by pushing up on the stalk...after 2 years and now on my 3rd E60.

I just did this an hour ago after filling up....one of those tricks I just figured out on my own.

I've just always used the auto-wiper function and found the manual function by accident.

i love the auto wiper function. I dont push it up at all. i push it down a lot tho. I like to control it myself. This is the only car i use the auto ones. MB's auto doesnt seem to like me very much. Well, u can tweak the auto wipers on the e60.
and i found out there's motion sensors by locking the car, then a few minutes later, stick in head in there to reach for something.
Then i also found out that if someone's in the car and u lock he/she inside, they cant get out.

How'd you come about that one? ![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)

Actually, i did that to my poor niece on first e60 back in 2004. That's how I learned on that feature..but then, the manual corrected me.
