Are the folding mirrors only available outside of the US. If so, does anyone know why. I would really love to get folding sideview mirrors when I order.

 

My E60 in Singapore has folding mirrors as a standard feature. It is useful in tight parking situation.

 

My e60 in the US has folding mirrors. 545i speed...i would think that all e60's have them.

 

Folding mirrors should be included in the option - automatic dimming mirrors.

 

I just haven't seen folding mirrors listed on any option lists for the US, but it seems like it is standard.

Wait, wait, I may not have asked the question correctly. I meant electronically folding side mirrors, not just mirrors that you fold manually. With that statement, why aren't they available in the US, or are they?

 

electronically folding aren't an option...at least it's not on any list I've seen.

 

My -yet to be delivered- 520i, here in the UK, is being delivered with autodimming (rear and side view) which, apparently, includes electric folding mirrors -

will let you know for sure in a couple of weeks.
