I have comfort access and was wondering what is the typical time before the FOB requires to be recharged? It seems I cannot go one week without the warning for recharging. Also, if the FOB requires a new battery is this covered under the original warranty?

Comfort Access fobs do not recharge. You have to change the battery. Instructions are in the manual...

Agreed that the fob for CA does not recharge but I am wondering why I still get a message telling me I need to charge it?

Still amazed at how few people at the dealers I have been to don't know that the CA fobs don't recharge.

The car is probably sensing the weak battery and is simply programmed to report what the masses need to do...

I just changed my battery 2 weeks ago. I have comfort access and I can confirm that the car does tell you. I didnt bother asking the dealer to replace the battery under maintenance LOL its a standard CR2030 or whatever number battery. $2 at any CVS
