I was at the dealers the other day, as i am most days! And a guy came in and asked for his tyres to be checked as he had a puncture warning. So just for the record, i have had my flat tyre warning come on 3 times now and never a puncture. I suppose it must just pick up a little inbalance and switch on. I now just stop at a garage check my pressures and reset.
So if any of you get the warning dont go running to the dealers too quickly. CAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO BE THERE FOR 2 HOURS!

Always carry a tyre pressure gauge and a digital compressor in the car anyway, as I do my pressures at least once a fortnight, if not weekly.
As tyre pressures are supposed to be done on the cold tyre, I don't have to go to a garage and use their mostly inaccurate gauges.
Mine never triggered without reason in 2 years now. Tested it once, dropping one tyre by about 4 psi and it did the job after a few hundred yards.

But driving on dirt- and/or snowy roads this will happen, from time to time.
You need to understand how the RPA system works.
It's a low brain system that measures wheel spinning using the ABS censors...
It loves the brikhard RF tyres.
With my non-RF, very-soft winter tyres, I need to reprogram it every week - in the wintertime
With the Dunlops - one time in three summers.
