FLAT TIRE WARNING
#1
I seem to remember a thread about this but refesh me. Was driving yesterday when I got a flat tire warning symbol in my MY06 550i.Pulled overand checked the tires and all was well. Did a reset on the iDrive for the tire pressure warning system and all was well there after. Anyone know what sets of this bogus warning? Note; clear weather, no hard cornering.

My Ride: 2005 530i (Silver-Gray, Gray Lthr., Anthracite Maple) with Steptronic, Prem. Pkg., Logic 7, Xenons & Chrome factory wheels.
Had the "Flat Tire" warning occur on my MY05 530i when one of the tires was just two pounds low! Adjusted pressure on all tires with my own tire gauge, redid the iDrive pressure set and have had no problems since. I now check pressure every 2-3 weeks just to make sure. Have found that low tire pressure will adversely affect handling!

If not - then it could be a false alarm - perhaps due to road conditions.

It's quite normal that this happens, as far as I know. Everytime something that can afect the tire pressure happens, this warning sign appears, for example, changing a tire will make the sign appears, maybe not immediatly but it will come. All you have to do is to be sure that all tires are at the same pressure and then do the reset to the system, it will memorise it and that's it.

Are you sure, non of your tyres do not leak a bit?
Otherwise you had a wheels spin or a brake lockup.
Also gravel roads (or a sandy bit) could give the ABS sensors
a feel of 30 % change in wheel speeds...
A hasty spin around the curb could activate the warning.
With my soft wintertyres I get the warning at wheelspin
or driving on uneaven surfaces, like the other side of wheels
on snow and the other on asphalt.
