Increased air pressure to one tire activated the code...does code have to be reset or will it disappear after several starts? Thank you!

More info on your car would be helpful, but based on your complaint I guess you have and older car with the FTM and not a newer car with the TPM system. Yes, reseting the system will make the code go away but this begs the question, how much air did you add and more importantly, why didn't you add to the others? If one was low, it could/should have set off the alarm by itself. If you over-inflated one, the difference between tires could set it off as well I suppose. You need to check and properly inflate all four tires, then reset.
Thanks, it's a 05 525i I just picked up. Glad to be back in a BMW. One tire was low, adding air activated the code. I'll have it reset. Thanks for the feedback.
