Personally I think 20" is the max for an E60 before it looks silly. 21 is pushing it but I've seen 21" Asanti's on an M5 that looked good. Who knows though with 22.

I can't think of anyone on the forum running that wheel size on a non-M E60 or even an M for that matter...
M's have more room to work with.
Not saying its impossible but it's definitely going to take some work.

Kind of cool, but not for me.

A BMW for me should not stand out too much, I like to keep it close to original and not to much of a "looker" but that's just me.

I would stick with the original wheels, look way much nicer. I would kill to get my 135's swapped out for the 172's.
