My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.

Maybe because you're from Jakarta, Indonesia. Actually the new F10 has this now for the US market, and it is to restrict cooling.

Iya, org indo but I leave in Surabaya.

I use Mtech too on my orient blue e60, anyway what shop in jkt do go.

enjoy the new body kit, right choice because u will have a lot of options for the add on.

indonesia is a tropic country, 25-30'celcius all year round and Jakarta has a bad traffic..
i think it's a bad thing to restrict cooling.. perhaps in colder country this flap will function well..

I got 520i, I put mtech with hamman add on. Currently my car on the shop, change the mirror with m5 style mirror. Cant wait to see it.

I am still out of the country, I will post my e60 once I got back to Indo.

Inspire its the best modify shop for BMW in Indo. I read some people in this forum use inspire too. Right choice.

My Ride: 2010 BMW 530i E61, alpine white, cream-beige interior, sports-auto-transmission and a lot more-

just my 2 cents:

ma last car had these flaps(525D) my new car(530i) doesn't have any flaps.

I always wondered why, but I never had enough balls to remove the flaps, maybe because winter time in germany is a little harder than indonesia

.

I know that they are made for engine cooling and/or climate control..but why doesn't my 530i have these flaps?

got the car back from the shop.. and no idrive error msg.. yay, thank you for all the info guys!!!

what year was your 525D build?
because in indonesia every e60 from 2005-now don't have this flap, only the early model has it..
if you live in cold country i think it is appropriate to have this..
