Ryan, the T6 is supposed to actually be very, very good. Why not run for ~3k miles and then do an analysis. You may be surprised. We just put it in our n54 about 1.5k miles ago, so I'll report on numbers of T6 vs M1.

For all others in this thread, the difference between 0W and 5W for a cold start is generally negligible. I believe that the M1 0W40 is supposed to be very close to others' 5W. For Atlanta weather, you'll be fine with 10Wxx as well since it really doesn't get that cold. Once you dip down into the low 20s and teens, I'd be much more concerned with 0W and 5W weight oils. The hot weight is much more important in these cars as oil temps can reach as high as 240 degrees (ish). Be careful if you remove the thermostat in the OFH as the oil temperature drops down into the 160-170 range where you may end up wanting to run a lower weight oil (W30). Biggest factor for the viscosity being correct is turbo lubrication (journal bearing) (my opinion).
