Have a BMW Dealer show you the maintenance and service records. They'll need the VIN to do that. An indy can't access BMW's systems for that info and some dealers won't release (in print) it to you because it may contain information about the previous owner. They can also confirm installed options and extras - LOOK FOR EXTENDED BMW WARRANTIES & MAINTENANCE COVERAGE - Even CPO Coverage!!
Those BMW Options follow the car not the previous owners. Many BMWs are bought with extended coverages that would really benefit the second / third owners!!

Inspection was good. Need oil change. Recommended BMW oil or Mobile 1. Though the guy sausage he changed the breaks,he only did the pads. Inspection guy said this was a no no for BMW. Dealer said he will get both done contingent I put down a $500 deposit.
After i check the vin with BMW tomorrow (per suggestion above), think its a great deal. Nothing close on autotrader, cars.com or CL. Kbb says 29k with miles, options and condition.
Anything else I'm missing here. Thinking to good to be true, but everything thing is checking out okay.

So just left the BMW dealership and no problems with maintenance and no major work needed. No extended warranty or CPO. They did say that it is eligible for powertrain warranty for $1,800 for 1yr/12k miles.

Anyway, sounds like you're doing your homework, and you are learning that dealers love to charge you money. The price isn't too good to be true, it's just low. Good luck, and tell us how it ends.
