Have an opportunity to purchase our first BMW. Private dealer is selling an 08 550i Sports Package with 74k miles for $26k. Very clean, runs great, non-smoker, clean interior and 1owner.
AutoCheck and VinInspector are both clean. Reduced from $33k, but has been sitting in his warehouse sine he purchased from auction in GA last year.
Looks like a good deal and the car looks great. Should I purchase? Should I purchase an extended warranty?

7k is a big drop... why has it sat so long? Undesirable color combo? Hidden damage? Mechanically unsound?
Buying a BMW is like any other car - use due diligence and get it checked out by a reputable shop/dealer that knows BMW's...

Its white with tan interior. He confirmed what I discovered via research before I looked at vehicle. He is losing money sitting. In garage. Talked to a BMW specialty shop and will do an inspection for 95 dollars.

To me, sitting in the lot undriven for 6+ months is a long time. Check KBB, cars.com, autotrader.com to see what comparable cars are selling for in your area. I would also advise you to get a second opinion from a BMW shop to see if the car has any issues. Further, dont trust soley on those Autocheck/Carfax reports as they can exclude accident reports.
