My wife and I did a quick trip to Las Vegas; it's only 300 miles. I had read numerous posting about the standard seats being bad, and they are. I have had numerous cheaper cars with more comfortable seats. My new quest will to be to find a used set of Comfort seats. Maybe even ventilated comfort seats.

A friend has a 7 series that has a massager in the seat bottom. Is this standard on all ventilated seats?

On the other side, the car performed flawlessly. Great power and top end. Plus 31.4 MPG. That's impressive.

I'm quite happy with the standard seats.

But then I have a healthy back (190 lb and 6.1).

Good point. I have a sore back and boney butt (6-1 158).

Also, can the ventilated seats be retro fitted into a non-ventilated equipped car?

I have read the post on putting comfort seats into a car equipped from the factory with standard seats.

First off all, they can be retrofitted, but it'S too expensive, it's better to change the complete car.

The massage is another option, it has nothing to do with the ventilation.

O.K. Are you saying that the ventilation seats are too expensive to retro fit or the comfort seats?

Well, both.
The retrofit of comfort seats is extremely expensive. Retrofit of ventilation and/or massage is just very expensive.

But you would have to have comfort seats before you could have ventilation, and massage is for 7 series driver-side only. Vent seats cost $4000-5000 on a new car because you have to buy 3-4 different upgrades to get them (depending on trim level). probably $8000 or more to add to your current car.

Nope.

Available for the 5 series too. Driver and Passenger seat. I've got it.
