Hi,
Remembering that I like in Dublin and nothing costs less than a brazillion euro over here, what should I be looking at during my first service as an E60 owner. I got it last June and it's got 92k miles but was a fleet car before I got it so it's well maintained.
I usually fling the car into a guy to get serviced but with this i'm thinking that I can get special engine mods done which will make the car seem more like it was at 20k miles.
Thanks in advance

You sadly wont see the big gains us Diesel burners enjoy for not much cash.
I spent nearly a grand on my old E34 525i Sport petrol to get the car back to standard power lol (It was a 156k motor tho)
Im not happy she makes the same power she left the factory with tho...
I would save your money towards a more powerfull version of the car if performance is your goal ? might as well start with the right thing eh![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
Trade up to a 530 or 540 maybe ?? or the mighty 3 litre diesels if you can bear a rattler ( they aint that bad honestly mate )

Well after 5 years of basically handing my wages to my porsche mechanic and to the tax man over there I won't be going for the high power cars again I think.
The road tax is about 1300 a year for a 3 litre or above and will be more for a 4 litre I believe.
A new car of engines this size are 2 grand a year to tax now.
I was just kinda hoping that there was a magic pill I could use to get the power from the smaller engine.
Having said that, in Ireland a 2.2V6 is considered massive.
Thanks,
Kev

I see, difficult indeed.
A superchip may see you gain something like 10bhp on the petrol engines, tbh tho remaps and superchips on normally aspirated petrol engines generally do not add much power in any case, they "generally" only improve drive ability and MPG by removing flat spots etc, a few bhp increase should only be considered a bonus and not a prerequisite.
