I got my first door ding yesterday. I was at the local BBQ with my wife, we drove home after dinner, and when parking the car in the garage I noticed something - a fresh door ding! Somebody on white car dented my driver's door! Its not too bad when you look straight at it, but it sure is noticeable when you look from the side... The perfect smooth surface is now scared by a dent.... oh well, dents are almost impossible to avoid, and I guess new ones won't hurt as much now... :-) Still sad...

TexaZ3, I hear ya! I got mine last week...it was on my front passenger side door. I always try to park next to a handicap spot and closest to the blue lines. But I guess some ppl open their doors really wide or part too close you even though they have enough room on the other side....man that pisses me off!!!!! But what can you do? Maybe clearbra for your door panels too??? hmmmm.......

Yea, no kidding, I get so pissed off I swear my head may explode. I never got a door ding on my own, the ones I got were from the service department at the dealership. How f'ked up is that?

I always park miles away from other cars on purpose, because I know most people are inconsiderate.

Get them repaired by a paintless dent removal guy, they can do wonders.

Very sad indeed. It's time for Dent Busters; such places can do miracles with dings. I am hoping the paint is not seriously marred.

Statistically, E60 got keyed and dented the most compare to other cars.
Beside reliability, vadalability is another factor comes to mind
Anynew, welcome to the "keyed" club.

nice Peter tell 'em to show some respect!

some idiot turned wheel while car was parked and scratched HM full front apron 400 in the garbage

this was also a reason we opted Jet Black (II) in BE many cars are crashed or sratched or both... they park accustic: one bump-ding front and reverse second... not only women!

I bought a selfmagnetic sticker used for removable auto signs. It is basicaly the same you use like the souvenires sticker on your refrigerator. But I bought a large sheet of this. I will cut it in to a 4 pieces for each door and glue some foamy material on it.
so while parking in dent high risk area I will just stick it on to my doors. It will be black so hardly visible on orient blue car. I just worry that this might provoke some idiot to actually key my car

sometimes I just wish the E60 would have the plastic line around the door like all the previous cars used to have
