Okay so I'd like to do some things and of course open to any and all suggestions as well...But I was thinking (but not necessarily in this order) ...

1) M-Tech Kit
2) Wheels (Love the M166's but may be different and do something else...suggestions welcome)
3) Rear M-Tech Trunk Spoiler
4) Sprintbooster
5) Pedal Set

I guess I'll leave it at that for now...ha. Limited budget to work with, so I guess my question is how would you guys rank things in terms of priority? What would you do first? Start with the less expensive things and work up? I definitely don't hate the 124 wheels I have now, but eventually want to go bigger...should I do the wheels before the M-tech or vice versa?

Thanks everyone!

(PS this is all the boards fault...I loved my stock look until I discovered this forum!)

I feel your pain!!! I bought my 550i, basically stating to myself that "I have almost achieved my dream car- M5". I said, I have a beast of a car in my hands with so many factory options...spent, for me, a lot of money and felt I got exactly what I wanted...then I got involved in this Board...lol

I LOVE IT, but its like a crack pipe and we are competing with those that have trust funds, use Daddy's money or have made great success for themselves. From your statement below, seems like we have "other priorities" that prevent us from sending our salary straight to Mod stores

So, to answer your question- first, look at my pictures under my profile...I have dones everything you desire...order of purchase for you: 1) get sprint booster...2) do Tranny reset (free)...hold gas pedal down for 25+ seconds...read posts 3)invest the money in the M-Appearance package...it makes the car look soooooooo much better...worth every penny 3A) Magnaflow muffler #14862 ($250 installed)...worth every penny... 4)get trunk spoiler...lots of debate about which one...I have the M-Tech and like it a lot...others on the board hate it! Its all personal preference. Do your research...choose what YOU like, not others say 6) wheels...well, that's a tuff one... I also have 124s and actually like them a lot...much better than other stock wheels...granted, if I could cough up another $2500-$3000, I would go for 19" or 20" staggered...remember, you also have to purchase tires (General Exclaims UHP is the recommended tire (cheap) or Michellin PS2s...non-runflats...

Best of luck. My train just pulled in to Penn Station. Gotta run...

Keep it stock. The stress, aggravation, time and money spent is just so much to bear.

Or don't. It is lots of fun and quite satisfying to look at.

All the best

Change up the tires first and go from there. It's a never-ending list so just make sure you
start with places that matter most to you.
