finally picked up my 545

My Ride: At sea: 2005 545i sport, SMG, cold weather, Logic 7, nav, HUD, heated rear seats, sat prep - black sapphire
Nearly a month late, I finally picked up my new ride. I must say, this car is even cooler than I was expecting! Is there a word for the sh*t-eating grin you get when driving such a great car? Some initial thoughts:
The car feels much smaller than it is.
SMG is much smoother than the M3 version. The engineering is incredible - I love the accelerator blip when downshifting!
i-drive is very intuitive - and it takes away dashboard clutter.
The car is rock solid on corners - of course they're taken at under 4000 rpm's now.
It's not so inspiring in the ice and snow - I was caught in a snowstorm before I could get on snow tires. Trying to pull out of my friend's driveway in my fancy new car - it just slowly spun around, as if I was on a turntable.
I'll post some pictures soon, if the rain and snow ever stop...

Poor guy, those preformance tires aren't worth much in the snow, as you all ready know.
New car, at a friends, and it slips around like a top.
Take him for a ride in the spring , and he to will have that grin on his face.
Great car I love my 545, and find out new things about it that I dig everyday, ( well maybe not everyday , but you know what I mean ).

My Ride: #1: 2004 545i; 6-speed manual; Sport Package; Mystic Blue with a gray leather interior and Anthracite wood; CWP; Logic 7.
#2: 2010 535xi Touring; Automatic.
Welcome. Here in Chicago, I know I was happy to have snow tires on over the past month. It's a sweet car. You'll never tire of fast corners and curves in this car!
