I have been waiting for this and finally did it, I was so excited to get them done. They are 20" wheels that I had on last summer and worked great, I torqued them to 85 and put 36 PSI on the front and 38 PSI on the rear. So, take it for a ride and something is not right, I am getting a good amount of play/wobeling in the steering wheel once I hit 65MPH. I rechecked the and rechecked, went for many rides to see if it works itself out and no luck.

Do I need an alignment or rebalancing? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps try getting them rebalanced. Check to see if any of the wheel weights have come loose and fallen off. An alignment wouldn't hurt, but if you didn't experience problems before mounting the wheels and tires, an alignment probably won't fix the problem.

You mention that you had these rims on last summer. Was this on the 550? If it was another car, the offsets might not work with the e60.

Hubcentric rings?

The tires could be out of round, but the chances of this are pretty slim.

I had the same problem. The solution was hubcentric rings.

i would second the hubcentric spigot rings. Although you have had the wheels on last year, these might have got lost somehow, so I would also check if these are on first.

I do have the wheel hubs on, I verified it before I installed them, and yes they were on the 550 last year. I am going for a balancing tomorrow and see how it goes. Will keep you posted, thanks for the advice.
