I finally got my 08' 535i in Sapphire Black guyssss and I LOVE ITTT!!!
even though I am still confused and lost with how everything works since it has so many gadgets and toys.
QUESTION: I turned the car on to put something in and noticed the DVD (navigation disc) was still running/reading even though the car had been off for at least 1 hour. Is this normal?

If by "turning the car on" you mean unlocking it, then yes, the DVD nav system is priming itself. It's normal.
Edit: congratulations on your new ride! I've been lurking here for a few years and finally decided to start posting once I did my first few mods a couple months ago. It really is a great community...
