Looks good, to the forum. No plates on the car and you're getting into an M5 in a few months, nice . You detail the car yourself or have it done? If by someone else, who/where? Happy motoring

Great Pics!!! Now throw on a black grille and some rear spacers!

I almost bought that car...if it had only been clean like yours when I test drove it, it might be in my garage now.
The day is young Dave my friend, who knows what might be in your garage by the end of the day???

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!

Great to be part of the E60 community. I had a 2001 E39 540i and absolutely loved that car as well. I made the move to a '05 CLK500 and '06 E55 AMG after, but eventually came back to the BMW family. While I loved the E55 for its massive torque I was never a fan of the handling. I was also bothered by paying for brakes, fluids, etc. on a $100k car - so BMW - I'm back!

I'm getting the M5 because I absolutely love that car. The 550i is a fantastic daily-driver/city car but it's the little things that really make a difference to me. SMG, completely different components, different tuning, V-10, interior choices, etc.

The ONLY thing I know about the 2009 M5 is that it will have the newly-update iDrive system. Maybe a few little minor changes and there's the rumor of the 550HP V-10 to compete with some ugly Cadillac that's coming out. I'll get the MY2009 order-spec sheet as soon as my dealer gets it and will definitely post it here on the board!

I get my car detailed at Santa Palm Car Wash on Santa Monica Blvd - sometimes I add a little more shine myself.

Thanks again everyone!
