Suggestions, get a different brand of car. I am also fed up as of yesterday. It has been 3 full days at the shop (first day so they could figure out they did not have the parts) for a stupid radio amp. Apparently dealer can't reprogram the I drive in decent time.

Left a message with my sales rep that this is a lemon (long, long, long list of piddly crap) and I am not coming back to BMW despite how great it is to drive. Problem is you cannot drive it if it is in the shop. I need to see evidence of quality improvement before I even think of getting another. Have a friend also fed up and got rid of his 745 for the new A8.

By the way, the X3 loaner they gave me rides like a Ford pickup truck, and the drivers seat is literally falling apart... that is quality.

There is always a price to pay for something. Want a performance car, forget about quality - German and Italian cars are on top of the list. Want a quality car, forget about performance - Lexus is on top of the list. It's very high quality because it's Toyota. If it's real Lexus, it won't have good quality. Just think about that for a moment.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I have an '05 545 which has had a few minor issues, but nothing even close to unbearable. Re-programming for BlueTooth enablement and a Steptronic shifting issue then replacement of the noisey Dunlops is all I've had to complain about. I think I'm coming out ahead on the tire replacement since I got almost 9000 "free" miles on the originals. This car is just as good as my '98 e39 from a quality standpoint and performance is magnitudes better.

I have an 05' 545, and have had zero issues. Had that tranny slam once, but that is it. It sucks that you are having problems, I would take it back now! Make them give you a new one. Have a lawyer call, that always get them into gear. As long as you are the one complaining, you will probably get ignored.

Every day I swing back and forth from fed up I am trading this car in for a more reliable Japanese Car to WoooHooooo! V8 Baby.... I haven't had any major issues but I hate the unpredicatbility of the car. Every Day the car seems to feel different.

Couldn't agree more. It's a love-hate relationship. The car somehow seems to drive differently every day...even the rattles and sqeaks come and go. None of my other cars seem to have these issues.
