How Frequently Do You Add Oil?
So I've got a 2010 535xi with 53,000 miles. I had it serviced approximately 8,000 miles ago.
Now it says "need to add a maximum of 1 quart of oil".
Is something leaking or is that quart needed every 8,000 miles?

Do you see leaks? Anyway, after 8,000 miles just change the oil and filter and be done with it.

My 550 used up more synthetic when it was filled with the OEM oil, about a quart and a half in 10K miles. I switched to my trusted Mobil 1 this time around and am on pace to only use 1/2 to 1 quart in the same mileage window.

I have a 06 530i with N52 motor. I just had to fill it up with 1 qt. of oil the other day. It has about 65K miles on it and I had a oil change about 2-3K miles ago. I plan to change my oil at 70K miles so about every 7.5K miles. I was thinking if I should change my oil to 10-30w since it seems to be burning oil quite fast. Any suggestion if this is a good idea or not and if your N52 motor is burning oil that fast too?

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
I will get the warning around 1000 miles before its due if I wait. I got into the habit of changing it mid point and I never get the warning now. When I check it at that time, it looks to be just a little away from the max point on the scale.

I have a 2008 528xi with 96,000 miles, I've had it since it had 9,000 miles. I change the oil when the car calls for it, usually 15-19,000 miles. I have to add 1 quart between oil changes. I'm crazy about keeping the engine leak free, so it's not from leaks.
