Fast Acceleration!!
How can I get a faster acceleration when I press on the gas pedal all out on Automatic 2004 525i at Red Light with M1 position?
What I need to buy? Any evidence on this?
Thanks E60 memebers!

You might need to buy a M5.

Don't laugh, but it's true, you can't make a racer with the smallest engine offered - the 5 series is a heavy car. Your best bet is to trade up; 528, 535, 550, or M5.
ECU Modification $594 + RPI Exhaust, would give me a faster acceleration at the red light?

lol! I just want a faster feel of acceleration with a "turtle" car. I plan to keep this car for awhile so I want to be different from people on this forum. I know you guys get performance by purchasing a fast car but I would like this small engine car have a fast accleration, of course not an M5 acceleration but at least a feel of it!

EDIT: re-reading your post, you do use M1. Do you let the engine rev? Do you brake torque it at all? Hold the brake, rev it to 2k or so, and release the brake while flooring it, is your best bet for a jump off the line.

Mods will help some, as would a Sprint Booster. Don't expect miracles. Have you tried sport mode from the transmission? That will hold the gears longer and let the motor get into its power.

Other ways to get more performance are the RPI ram air scoop, the RPI exhaust and an ECU reflash. You could also spend big bucks and do a differential mod to change your car's final drive ratio to be more biased toward quick acceleraiton but I am not knowledgeable about that mod -- this is an awesome thread on diff mods that is fairly current.
If you want killer power, there is always adding a Supercharger. That, of course, could run you $10K.
