Scott....!! I know who to consult on my next purchase....!!
I am no modding expert. But I know lots about buying/leasing cars. And I often do help out my friends with their purchase/lease deals. It is like sport for me. If you want my help the next time around, just PM me.

The money factor could be higher if they waived the security deposit. That is standard practice, but you can usually negotiate it back to base MF if you really push the fact.

Also, $3420 off sticker seems pretty weak to me. Just as an example, I got my 550i for $8300 off sticker. Like others have said, find out the invoice and add about $500 for dealer cost (fees). Go from there.

Yes. If you do not pay the security deposit, the MF is usually higher. I put one month security deposit to keep it low (car was negotiated to $750 above dealer cost before the $2,500 rebate that then applied to 2009 5 Series -- a rebate now raised to $5,000).

My lease is expiring and have been offered the following. 2010 535i sticker 62,245 sale price $58,825. $0 out of pocket 15k a year 36 months $830 a month. They are giving me a tax credit also, and looks like they are using 00175 mf rather than published 00155.

Let me know thoughts, vehicle is one that is on the lot.

Cheers
According to Scott's research on Edmunds:
58525 sale price - 58545 invoice = 280 margin

Looks pretty good.
