You have to agree that the Just-In-Sequence methodolgy, adopted by BMW, specially in it's Leipzig plant design and implementation, allows for just what Jspira was saying. Even then, there will always be certain level of "batching", for instance, as you so eloquently described, the painting step.

Factory tint in Euro spec BMWs? Maybe in other countriess, but I haven't seen any here in Germany. Last I knew, tinted windows in DE were illegal.

In the UK we can order "Sun protection glass" which tints all the windows behind the driver / passenger doors. It is illegal to tint the front doors / windscreen here.

I kind of like the bit of tint that comes with the BENZ from the factory. My bro has a benz his "slighly tint windows " look very neat.
