I assume:

- Navigation now has FULL word entry for destination input when combined with Voice control
- Navigation system now has new 'search' function within the 'Information' facility
will be available to those legacy e60 owners who get the appropriate CIP upgrade.

Seems to be just a software item - so hopefully it will work !

That would be very nice to have that feature! But I wonder how many functions the CCC can manage. Our navi pro is already kind of slow when playing and MP3 song, and entering a new destination at the same time..

From my history of software updates, extra features have been added to the NAV over the last 2 years. This seems to be another feature update on the NAV options...as long as you support other hardware req's. Voice, pro Nav, etc. No mention of new CCC either, is there?

...we'll see.

Anyone know if the new 2-D map function on the face-lift Business Nav can be retrofitted via a software upgrade?
Is it the same principle as the Prof Nav - just update software?

I sure hope the Nav on current e60's can be upgraded. That is the one thing I don't like about my car.

Me too. It's so hard to find a restaurant using NAV Info.
Many times I end up arrived at the restaurant parking lot before I found the restaurant on the NAV system.

if the update was possible on the 7-series and its facelift this may just be possible...
does anybody know if that was possible...
