"Face Lifted" E60 Spy Pics
The best facet of the big scoop in the front bumper is simpler to clean and protect.
Notice there was no badging on the trunk lid. Looks neat. Adds to the mystique. Appears to be a 530 or 525.

This forum is by far better informed than many of the dealers are, especially when it comes to service related issues.

And the German Car Fans site is one of the larger, more responsible sites for this type of information (not that they're always right though...)
Of course this site still rules them all!!

Lets see the outcome... I think that these subtle changes act more "against" clients that already bought the car than bring real arguments for new buyers... hum... On the other hand if the changes where too radical it would be even worse...

What rear lip? I don't see a difference yet...
Very little difference that can only be picked up by a fanatic...
bottom line the same car on the outside..thank god I got the Mtech now so dont have to worry about that...
.. be nice if the 2007 530 will come with the revised engine of 268hp
that will be great (see the Roundel article on the 130i with the 3.0 liter engine). 13 addt hp plus 8lfts more be nice... anywho..

I can't see much difference. And that is good. I think BMW's facelifts are actually the very little facelift. Look in history on previous 5er and 3er.... it was basically just very very little that has changed.... clear white lights.... rear lights.... front bumper very very slightly.... or even the X5 that has gone the facelift a few years ago.... you can hardly tell unless the details on the front mask.....
other manufacturers facelifts are more obvious....

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
Not sure that I am seeing the changes, especially considering that the white comparison car has sport spoilers, front and back and the white makes the dark recesses of the chin spoiler more apparent. In short, not enough to worry about, but surely enough to bump the prices another 5%.
The Merc is a bit more obvious with the taillight segmentation, which isn't particularly appealing.
Thanks for scouting and presenting the article.
