Hey everyone,
Ive started to get into coding, and after many failed attempts with different computers i finally have a setup that works. The problem i am having now is the computer will read the car using inpa, but when i go through all the steps necessary to code using NCS expert i get a fault. When i go to read the VIn and FA off the car i get an error saying that there is an incorrect FA# 0904. I have searched this on this forum and on google and cant find any help. I see that #0904 is the first in all the e60s FA strings, but i cannot get past this on ncs expert. If any one has anything that might help, it is greatly appreciated.

Hmmm ... that #0904 is you built code base = Sept. '04 ... what's your actual build date (by the sticker of the driver door pillar)?
It seems that somethin' not hashed right between your built date and the VIN then kinda give a chksum error ... that's odd... ...

Are you running any performance ECU software? JB4 will give this error if not set to Map 0

The build date on the car is october 04 which is strange if the FA is indicating an 04 build date, and the car hasnt had an ecu tune yet
