To exhaust or not to exhaust, dynos?

N54, FBO+meth+e50. Does anyone have any opinion, or dynos to convince me that i need to upgrade my exhaust. Im on catless dps, but stock middle and muffler. Am i leaving performance on the table?

Most of the tuning community are 335s its hard to find real world proof on the e60. My wifes f10 n55 is straight piped, it sounds ok, but im not sure i want that much attention. But im willing to explore if i can get some more power.

ive read that the e60 exhaust flows much better than the e9x and that exhaust upgrade is notreally needed. Does that hold true at a fbo output level?

No idea if you'll see more power, but I've been tempted to make a custom axle-back using a 3" Dynaflow muffler in place of the OE pair. I'd cut just before the fork and have it hung on the factory mounts. I do not want a really noisy car and note the video clips of cars with no rear muffler to be louder than I'd want.

If you guys get rid of your stock muffler, I'll take it :)

What is your motivation to get a stock muffler? Did you upgrade and now like the sound?

Too much for the missus.

I'd keep the OE muff in case I, or SWMBO object(s) to the sound.
