EWS Tamper protection.
Hello to everyone.
So, I have this 520d E60 with the N47D20A engine to which I replaced the DME/DDE due to a wrong wire connection I did. I had the new DME overwritten two years ago with my info from my old DME by a pro. Since then the car worked flawlessly, the only issue is this error 2E3C EWS Tamper Protection which I couldn’t remove no matter what I’ve tried. I have two OBD cables, an ICOM cable, loads of software (ISTA-D, ISTA-P, INPA, DIS, SSS, etc.) but I just couldn’t write the EWS from the CAS into the new DME. I updated all the modules in the car using WINKFP and ISTA-P, but nevertheless the error mentioned is still there.
is there anyone who can point me in the right direction in regards to this issue? I used DIS which has the EWS sync option but I couldn’t make it work, although it shows the car connected to the software, but it seems the connection drops or something like that whenever I try to work on DIS.

No functional issues.
No, there are no functional errors at the moment. As I said, the car is working flawlessly for two years. I just want the error gone because ISTA always “complains” every time I want to do a coding and sometimes it gets stuck while trying to remove the code mentioned.
I’ve seen on YouTube people sorting out this code using either ISTA, either BMW-Explorer (I don’t have this software nor the orange dongle provided), but I couldn’t do it, no matter what I’ve tried and it is very frustrating.
As far as I could understand, it’s just a matter of writing the EWS code written in the CAS to be copied into the DME/DDE, but although it sounds so simple, I couldn’t do it.

I have an ICOM A+B and various versions of INPA, ISTA-D and ISTA-P. I updated all the modules in the car with that cable. I also have an OBD and two D-CAN cables, none of them capable to do this simple job of syncing the EWS in the DME/DDE. ISTA-D doesn't do programming (there is an option to do the sync but the option is unavailable) and ISTA-P doesn't do the sync, there is no option in regards to that. INPA also have this option for other models, not for E60 though. Is so frustrating...
