I just checked out the link and $279 for a flashlight/torch?!? Wow! Well, I guess my BMW flashlight in my glovebox cost me $50k.
Forget that "el cheapo" $279 model, go for this one (as an added benefit, it'll fit in the glovebox too!)

I find the BMW torch very convenient. I may only need it a few times a year but when I do, it?s there and charged.

I miss the built-in torch on older BMW keys - surprised no one mentioned that. It came in handy also.

I agree -- the few times I need to use the flashlight, it's nice and convenient having it there and charged up.

I don't really miss the light in the key too much since I never really have to insert it in any keyholes that aren't already illuminated. On the new car, I'll have comfort access so no need for any lights...

Um...some of us in the USA thought this whole torch thread was about a flame throwing torch...right, or maybe the common name is FLASH LIGHT

Oh, I never used it for keyholes but it was convenient to have a torch in your pocket. I recall once being in a theatre and dropping something. No problem, the BMW Schl?ssel to the rescue.
