Default Even if you have an M, why try?

So I am riding to the office this afternoon and have a new F M3 sedan trying to race me. Last week was a maroon E60 M5. Why do people even TRY? In second gear just before redline shift at 13K RPM I'm already at 120mph! This all takes place in like what 5 seconds? Unless one is pushing like 800 rwhp in the cage then one shouldn't try to compete with a 2-wheeler in curves, straight or anything. If one is tired of getting beat by bikes then learn to ride one. Once one's need for speed and torque increases the only upgrade is a jet.

I even had a newer red camaro RS with chrome wheels try for my entire 20 mile ride one time. I'd lose him and come to a red light. Lo and behold a few minutes later he shows up. This happened several times. The bad thing is, he becomes dangerous trying to compensate for his lack of machine and motor skills. I always think about other people when on the road. People that have the "race bug" seem to get very careless and that pisses me off. However, being a 400lb 2-wheeler there's not much I can do besides leave them way behind.
Then I learned that an RS is a 6 cyl? seriously?

LMAO, this happened all the time when I had my old Ducati 999S, funny thing was cars would want to race all the time, but other bikers didn't.
Heck, it happens in my 550, I have had Kia Souls, Toyota Highlandere (still don't understand that one), and every POS Civic imaginable try to pull on me.

This happens to me at least once per drive. Sometimes more. I too, with the 550i.

I don't get it, nor do I typically endulge them. The only exception is when they speed up to get RIGHT IN MY BLINDSPOT and stay there. Then I really see no other choice (for a matter of safety really) to drop it into sport and over take them to gt in front. More times than not, they back off. In a rare case, they'll zip by me in another lane. the best is when they get pulled over trying to show me how fast their celica is. Lulz indeed

Some people just want to see a fast bike go fast, I guess. Sounds like you let them have what they wanted.

once had a MINI S try to race me on my 600RR. i destroyed him, then pulled into a parking lot. he pulls up and says "damn, what do you have in that thing!?!?!?" i said "nothing. it's a motorcycle", then rode away. my guess is that unless youve ridden, you don't truly appreciate that a stock sport bike will accelerate as fast or faster than an F1 car.

hahaha. Didn't look like an E chassis but it could have been and it definitely was an M3 sedan. I didn't get a real good look to be honest. These cars are a dime a dozen around here so I don't pay them much attention. I barely even looked at him just just seen his attempt to launch. Regardless, even if you have any M BMW you cannot touch a 1000CC FI Sportbike. If I had a straight open road/track I would even give a 3-5 second courteous head start.
