Hey guys, I went for a drive today (about 300km) and had this error message.

This is what happened...

1. Got to the location (150km) and turned the car off and did whatever;
2. Came back to the car in about 30 minutes and turned the ignition on with a weird noise and then the menu showed that my transmission had some kind of fault with gears issues?;
3. I got shit scared, so I turned the car iginition off, took the keys out and waited for a couple of minutes and then turned it back on, and the message was gone and it was all fine with no error messages.

But when I called Road Assist they said I should go to the dealers to have it checked out because the car's computer still stores the error message (until cleared by the dealer) and until it is cleared, the car reduces its power by itself to "protect" the car from further harm or something...

And at first I thought it was bs, but I sensed that the throttle and the rev was different when I was driving back the other 150km.

Is there any way to bring back the error message so I can load it up here and ask for further help?? Or do you guys have any advice??? Please help

Thumbs down

Do you have a cell phone w/camera!!

A picture is worth a thousand words -

Here's an example of one that I brought to my dealer when I had an iDrive alert to a failure. The Dealer SA was greatful to have the evidence since the error message disappeared a few hours later. Even though lots of data is stored on-board this pointed them directly to the problem so it could be addressed quickly. On phone it was very clear and easy to see the detail![attachment=123072:0855_07_tn.jpg]
