There is a recall out for the seat monitor for the passenger airbag. Wonder if this is related?

It is a little strange to have this question coming from a senior member with over 500 posts as there are a million posts about this subject.

I had that error a couple of days ago when I disconnected my batt. Luckily one of the mechs at the dealer is an ok guy and cleared it for 20.00 My car was not covered under the recall.

Thanks guys.

Made an appointment for this Friday....

Sorry about the non-search, I was late for a meeting and did the "fast" thing.

If your car is not on the recall list then the fix will be:
Weak/Poor battery cable from battery (Rear) to the car.

My dealership replaced the whole positive cable from the trunk into engine bay saying that the poor cable connection/design triggered this pass air bag light.

I took my car in for regular scheduled service and they called me to tell me that this was a recall and they were doing it all for free.

This was 3 weeks ago so you guys should be getting letters or phone calls.

Mine came out twice, when the STEALER checked it the report came back two of the crash sensors behind the front bumper got corroded. STEALER wanted $900 to replace a $60 sensor as they need to remove the front bumper, I asked them to reset the message and that was it, never seen this message again.
